The Richmond® Encore®, 50 gal Tall 40000 Btu natural gas water heater comes with a 2 years In Home Labor Warranty and provides ample hot water for households with 3 to 4 people. Its tall profile gives this heater a smaller footprint and allows for easy installation when tank diameter is a factor. The heater features a powered damper that closes when the unit is not in operation to reduce stand by heat loss and increase efficiency. The heater also features an FVIR System, an exclusive air/fuel shutoff device that prevents ignition of flammable vapors should they be detected outside the unit. The air intake is designed to be completely maintenance free with no filters to clean or replace. This model meets the requirements to qualify for ENERGY STAR.
